Sewa is not only about giving money. It is also about giving your time, skills, energy and compassion.

At Ghar Ghar Langar Sewa, volunteers are an important part of our journey. Whether you can support an activity on the ground, contribute your professional skills, help during an event or assist when there is a need, your contribution can become part of something meaningful.

You don't have to do everything. You just have to do what you can.

Why Volunteer?

Make a Difference

Be part of Sewa that supports people and communities facing hunger, hardship and other needs.

Serve With Others

Join people who believe in compassion, community and the spirit of Sewa.

Learn & Grow

Use your time and abilities to gain experience, learn new skills and contribute in meaningful ways.

Be Part of Sewa

Experience the satisfaction of giving your time and being part of a community that believes Sewa should go where there is a need.

How You Can Contribute

Volunteer opportunities can vary according to our current programmes, activities and requirements. When you register your interest, tell us what you would like to contribute and our team can explore suitable opportunities with you.

Daily Food & Annasewa

Where volunteer support is required, you may be able to assist with activities connected with our daily food Sewa, such as food preparation, packing, serving, distribution, community outreach or event support.

Education

Support may include assisting with educational initiatives, school kit activities, student outreach, events or other education-related activities, depending on current requirements.

Healthcare

Volunteers may be able to support the coordination and non-medical aspects of healthcare initiatives and medical camps. Medical professionals can indicate their qualifications and areas of expertise when they get in touch.

Youth Development

Contribute to youth activities, camps, events or other initiatives where volunteer support is required.

Environment

Participate in environmental activities and community initiatives when volunteer opportunities are available.

Disaster Relief

During floods, food shortages or other emergencies, volunteers may be called upon to support relief activities such as packing, logistics, distribution, outreach and other on-ground requirements.

Your Skills Can Become Sewa

Not everyone can volunteer on the ground — but everyone may have something valuable to contribute. If you have professional or specialised skills, tell us about them. Where there is a genuine organisational need and a suitable opportunity, we can explore how your expertise may support our work.

You can also tell us about any other skills or experience you would like to share.

We will match skills-based volunteering to genuine organisational needs rather than promise a specific role in advance.
